Whales
The title would get a bit long if I called it Ducks and Stars and Whales!
I’ve been seeing them on the ORCA trips from Plymouth to Santander.
We see a lot of common dolphins in pods of 30 or so. This one off Santander August 25.

Risso's Dolphin breaching
Risso's dolphins look like torpedo's with fins.
They fight their food, their competition and each other and gradually become scarred like this.
My favourite photo of the 25 season. Risso with calf Plymouth October 25.
Striped Dolphins are deep sea ones.
They are great leapers.
It's between striped and kangaroo's as to which animal can jump highest on earth. Humns can high jump a couple of metres. Striped Dolphins can do 7!

Lots of Gannets fly with the ship for a a few miles.
Huge birds. Their nostrils are in their throats to aid diving fast.
Looking in our wake for fish.

A Fulmar which is related to Albatrosses. Plymouth August 25.
A Great Shearwater

Good sunsets in Biscay!
I love how the sun gets distorted towards the horizon at sea when its low.
