Eclipse Run In
It was amazing to watch this get to 91% with many folks in my local park. I’ve also made a couple of animations at the foot of this page. Shot with Sony mirrorless at 600mm using Baader 5.0 solar film.
This is a terrible fudge and I must have a better full moon pic somewhere - but, the magic of Photoshop shows an essential truth - our Sun and Moon appear the same size in the sky from Earth - hence we can get total solar eclipses. Now on to the actual pictures of a 91% one!
A little animation - aligning the images whilst keeping the Sun the same size is hard!
