New Pelicans Near Buckingham Palace

St James Park is basically Buckingham Palace Front Garden. It was originally a Deer Park but by 1664 the Russian Ambassador gave Charles II the first Scoop of Pelicans to live there. For 350 years they’ve not bred - this spring they did giving the Park its first Pelican offspring ever :)

The youngsters start completely black and then quickly turn brown then over about 2 years they get their adult colours. They are around 3 months now.
