Whales in the Bay of Biscay
Written By me 2
ORCA are a charity who for 30 years have ben counting whales and dolphins. You can join them on some of the Ferries - the Bay of Biscay is a good one if a bit bumpy sometimes! I took the Plymouth to Santander one - you can also go from Portsmouth or Rosslare. Its a day ish to Santander, quick run ashore for Ice Cream etc. and then back to Plymouth. Great fun and booking trains in advance makes it a pretty good value mini-break whilst helping do some sciency stuff :)
